About The Band
The band MOFUNK consists of 4 experienced musicians with a unique funk sound focussing on re-inventing pop and jazz covers. The band has performed at festivals, corporate events and functions, and all the top clubs in Cape Town. Leoni Le Roux is featured as the band’s powerhouse vocalist and she has distinguished herself as one of the best in the country. The band members have performed at corporate events in many of South Africa’s major cities such as Johannesburg, Durban. Port Elizabeth, East London and Pretoria. The individual band members each have considerable experience having performed in Europe, China, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, New Zealand, Australia, Turkey, Germany and the Netherlands. The band approaches music in a unique way and re-invents and recreates songs in a fresh way which is exciting and dynamic. The sophisticated synth playing of Mark Goliath on keyboards is solidly supported by the exciting basslines of groovemaster Lance Abrahams whilst the tightness of the unique sound of the band is managed by Randall Cyster (082 450 1207 / rccouriers@gmail.com) who lays a solid platform for the rest of the band to experiment and explore their musicality. The band presents a musical experience which is on par with any international standard and leaves audience wanting to hear more all the time.

Loenie Le Roux
Lead Singer
Leonie is vocal powerhouse who has performed with bands such Virtual Jazz Reality, Airborne and TouchDown. She is an extremely versatile performance artist and is arguably one of the most entertaining vocalists in South Africa. With a huge repertoire, she can move effortlessly from swinging jazz standards to Funk, Disco, Fusion, Rock, Pop and Romantic Ballads.
Lance Abrahams
Bass
Lance is a well-established bassist recognised by his peers as soulful player with a excellent repertoire. He has performed with several local artists such as Vernon Castle; Alou April, Robbie Jansen, Richard Caesar, Vuvu Khumalo; Kani; Meeka; as well as having recorded a live CD. He has also featured on M-Net live band show on KykNet in 2003.
Randall Cyster
Drums
Randall is a seasoned drummer with over 25 years’ experience on the local music scene. He has performed with several artists such as: Ian Smith, Sammy Webber, Alistair Izobel; Zayn Adam; Andrew Young; Robbie Jansen as well as having recorded with a number of local artists. Randall has travelled extensively and performed in several countries in Europe. New Zealand and Australia
Mark Goliath
Keyboard
Mark has travelled abroad extensively to play music: Dubai; Italy ; Mauritius; Hong Kong; China Oman; Abu Dabi and Indonesia. He is an accomplished music producer and has produced music for Judith Sephuma and other SAMA award winning artists. He has also recorded a number of original tracks with local artists. He is highly regarded as a very talented keyboard player and arguably one of the most accomplished keyboard players in South Africa. He has performed with the likes of Judith Sephuma, Garth Taylor; Jimmy Dludlu; Alistair Izobel amongst others.
